Anne Ireland

Anne is a native New Yorker but spent every summer of her childhood in Maine at her family’s saltwater farm is in West Bath where she lives today. She received her BA from Bowdoin College in 1976. After a career in broadcast news at CBS NEWS, she and her family moved to Falmouth Maine in 1985. She received her BFA in painting with honors from the Maine College of Art in 1994. Anne has had solo exhibitions at Elizabeth Moss Galleries, the Maine Jewish Museum, The Gallery at Somes Sound and the Maine College of Art. She has shown in numerous shows throughout Maine including Thos.Moser Gallery, Greenhut Galleries’ Portland Show, Susan Maasch Fine Art, Gleason Fine Art, the Maine Farmland Trust Gallery, Ocean House Gallery and the Maine Art Gallery, Kennebunkport. She has also participated in the juried “Paint for Preservation” auction for the Cape Elizabeth Farmland Trust in 2018,2019,2020 and 2021. She has been awarded residencies at The Studios of Key West, Chalk Hill Art

Residency, Sonoma, Chateau d’Orqueveux, France and the Stephen S. Pace House, Stonington,Maine. A three-time L.L. Bean catalogue cover artist, Anne’s work captures the essence of Maine for millions of catalogue recipients around the world.
