Lily King & Sarah Steedman | Pop-Up Exhibition & Book Signing : Event Starts At 11am

Join us at our Falmouth gallery for a pop-up exhibition and book signing featuring artist Sarah Steedman and novelist Lily King.
We will be exhibiting a suite of paintings created by Sarah for Lily's latest novel, Heart the Lover. The paintings form a custom deck based on a pivotal card game played by the characters in the novel. The writer and artist will discuss their collaboration, with books and decks available for purchase and signing.
Lily King is the award-winning author of six novels. She has also published a collection of short stories, Five Tuesdays in Winter. Her 2020 novel, Writers & Lovers, won the New England Society Book Awards and was a New York Times Notable Book and chosen as a top-ten best book of 2020 by The Washington Post, NPR, People Magazine, and The Los Angeles Times. Her 2014 novel Euphoria won the Kirkus Award, the New England Book Award, and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Award. Euphoria was named one of the 10 Best Books of 2014 by The New York Times Book Review.
Sarah Steedman has a BA in Studio Arts from Sophie Newcomb college at Tulane University. She is also a U of IL Master Gardener and completed the Agro-ecology apprenticeship program at U of C Santa Cruz. She is currently a full time artist living in Portland, Maine.
