Lindsay grew up in New Rochelle, New York but has lived in Maine since 1974. Lindsay studied art at Colby College, graduating with a BA in Fine Art in 1976. In addition to showing her work at Elizabeth Moss Galleries, Lindsay has participated in Greenhut Galleries’ 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2016 “Biennial Portland or Maine, The Painted State” exhibits. She has also participated regularly in the juried Paint for Preservation auction to support the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust. Lindsay’s “View from Jenny’s Window” (2016) is included in Paintings of Portland by Carl and David Little and a 2017 commissioned work is permanently installed in the Shaeffer Theater at Bates College. Lindsay has also shown her work at a dozen other Maine galleries, including the Maine Farmland Trust in Belfast and the “Oil and Water Do Mix” show with Jenny Scheu at Portland’s Vestibule Gallery. She is a founding member of 10 X 10, a group of artists who celebrated the show’s 25th and final year in 2016.
