David Wolfe is the proprietor and master printer of Wolfe Editions,
a letterpress and fine art print studio in Portland Maine. He studied
Printmaking at Maryland Institute College of Art. David has taught
book design and book arts at The Maine College of Art, Mayland Insti-
tute, Bowdoin College, Wellesley College, Dartmouth College, Pen-
land School of Crafts, Haystack, Ox-bow, along with ongoing letter-
press and book arts classes in his own studio. He was the Master Print-
maker for the 2009 winter residency program at Penland School of
Crafts in North Carolina. David was the 2010 Traditional Arts
Fellow, honoring his thirty years of letterpress printing in Maine.
David has represented Portland, Maine in a cultural exchange, visiting
Vietnam as well as Japan. His practice includes all printmaking
techniques, Painting, Sculpure, and Photography.
