It is one of my greatest professional thrills to unite a piece of art with its rightful owner.

The lofty notion of a collection is seldom used in conversation unless attached to a museum or educational institution. I have spent a good part of my career building these kinds of collections, but I find the greatest reward in guiding and advising that rare and wonderful thing—the personal art collection.

What compels someone to begin collecting? There are so many starting points. Falling in love with a particular piece or object in a gallery or on your travels. The search for the perfect finishing touch for a gorgeous room, or an entire home. The impulse to support a particular artist or community of artists. The desire to commemorate a person or a place or something as ephemeral and glancing as a feeling or a mood.

One perfect piece is a magnet for other extraordinary works. Depending on what drives your desire to collect, you may be searching for works in a particular style, from a distinct school or era, or pieces that work together eclectically in a special room. And finding time in your busy life to source, appraise and purchase these works is daunting at best.

As your partner and personal advisor, I can leverage a broad network of personal and professional connections to bring pieces you to your attention that you might otherwise never see. I can help you commission works, take you on studio visits and bring you to the front lines of where the art you'll treasure is inspired, conceived and made. I can bring pieces to your home or your inbox to be reviewed at your leisure. I provide certified appraisals and fair and judicious advice on value, merit and suitability. I have built a reputation for impeccable taste, a good eye and earnest business practices.

Great art does not have to be acquired at great expense. Some of the most exciting and amazing values can be found in contemporary studios in our own community. It is one of my greatest professional thrills to unite a piece of art with its rightful owner. To be the rightful owner, you do not need wealth but interest and a decision to dedicate your resources to acquisition of an object. I work with very talented artists, designers and decorators. I work with people of all ages and all levels of interest in art. Some people are serious collectors and others just really like the way it looks. What do they have in common? A love of beauty and a sense of discovery.
